Our motto is “people not research.” There are wonderful charities in Australia connected to breast cancer research or patient care. Our focus is on local Brisbane people on their breast cancer journey and providing immediate practical and financial support to these individuals and their families. All donations go directly to support local Brisbane people on a breast cancer journey.
Be Uplifted Inc is a registered charity that provides practical support and financial assistance for real life costs encountered by breast cancer patients and survivors in our local Brisbane community.
A breast cancer recipient, Paula, received funding from Be Uplifted Inc for vital rehabilitation on her shoulder following breast surgery in 2019. The funding from Be Uplifted provided sessions with Evoke Physio who were in Paula’s words: “most attentive and caring in their approach and assistance to my recovery”.
Money received from fundraising is not spent on administrative costs of our non-profit organisation. Which means every extra dollar we raise is an extra dollar we can use to help a Brisbane breast cancer patient and their family. We are only limited by the amount of fundraising dollars we receive each year to reach out and help local Brisbane people on a breast cancer journey.
In line with Be Uplifted Inc’s motto, “people not research”, Be Uplifted is committed to making a difference and highlighting in the community the need to assist more breast cancer patients who are isolated and suffering from the effects of cancer. While there is so much focus on fundraising to find a cure for cancer, there is little action towards helping the growing number of breast cancer patents in our local community who need care and support right now.
Like Paula, Be Uplifted is here to help local Brisbane people with breast cancer. Paula was grateful to receive funding and vital support from Be Uplifted, to help her move forward in her treatment and surgery recovery. Paula also said: ” the awesome gift basket – our charity’s We Care Hamper from Be Uplifted cheered her up!
