Recipient Testimonials

Since we began in 2009, Be Uplifted Inc has helped thousands of breast cancer patients during their breast cancer journey.

Our volunteers work diligently to ensure that those suffering from a disadvantage because of their breast cancer diagnosis get the love, care, and support they need during a very physically and emotionally stressful time.

Here is just some of the feedback we have received from breast cancer patients who have used our charity services for financial assistance and other support.

Thank you so very much for the generous gift of $1,000.
It will be such a help to me.
It completely took me by surprise….. I burst into tears!!!!
Anyway…. its wonderful, what you do with Be Uplifted.
I’m really grateful.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer
during my last trimester in pregnancy
with baby number 4.
I am 41 years old and my life as I knew it
had instantly been turned upside down.

I had been a teacher for 16 years and could no longer work and
my fiancé and I could no longer afford what we previously took
for granted: bills, food, rent, doctor's fees etc. Life was daunting
and out of our control!
They were a wonderful sounding board and source of support. Not only did I have new friends that
understood my hardship and personal journey, they also offered my family financial support and food
when we were down to our last dollars. I have learnt that asking for help is not easy, but sometimes
necessary just to survive.
I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and during this process was
introduced to Wendy and her team at "Be Uplifted”.
I like to call them ‘our Angels’.
My baby needed to arrive 5 weeks
premature by Caesar, so that I could be
operated on 5 days later.
None of this had been part of my plan!
They came to our house and in a comfortable manner offered their help in any areas
my fiancé and I felt we needed the most.
I felt instantly at ease because I knew these ladies had also been through a similar journey themselves
and were also willing to share their personal experiences.

After treatment this week, I received a food hamper from
Karen at the North West Oncology Unit. It was a wonderful
but most unexpected surprise!
My family is very appreciative of your organisations
kindness, support and generosity.
Many heartfelt thanks for the great work you and your
organisation are providing to women who have succumbed
to breast cancer.
May the good times and treasures of the present become
the golden memories of tomorrow.

Thank you so very much I appreciate the cheque.
You have no idea how much help that will be to me at this time.
Let me know if I can help in any way.

A note to say Thank You for the lovely Christmas Hamper
I received at the Holy Spirit Hospital in December.
It was gratefully appreciated.
Being 84 years old I consider myself very lucky.
Life is good.
Again many thanks.
