Every Tuesday a social group converges on the Be Uplifted Inc headquarters, providing mutual support, understanding and friendship.
Likeminded members of the local community, along with breast cancer patients, breast cancer survivors, family, friends make up this group.
They all come along to Be Uplifted Inc at Zillmere to join together. Meet new and old friends and contribute in a meaningful way to Be Uplifted Inc.
During these Tuesdays, there are crafty volunteers who spend their time knitting, crocheting, including creating our Knockers, card making, and creating products to be sold at Be Uplifted Inc functions and stalls, plus items to be gifted as part of our precious “We Care” Hampers to breast cancer patients.
There are also volunteers that work in sorting through fabrics, organising buttons, arranging our breast cancer merchandise and all sorts of general tasks! As a continually growing charity there is always something to do at Be Uplifted Inc!
No matter what skills they have, each volunteer comes along with a smile and joins in the happy chatter as they make a positive difference
This very special time provides women and men currently in treatment for breast cancer, plus anyone who has survived breast cancer, or had a family member or close friend experience a breast cancer journey, a chance to meet with like-minded people and talk if they choose.
Tuesdays are a place to laugh, and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. While we know each person’s breast cancer journey is never the same, the Be Uplifted Craft Tuesday Group is a friendly and safe place to spend time with people with similar experiences and a common understanding of the painful effects of breast cancer.
