Lifestyle, fashion and beauty blogger, Sista With Style (AKA Katrina) who hosted her first event as Be Uplifted Inc Ambassador on Saturday 17 February at the Burnie Brae Community Centre.
In case you missed it, on Saturday our new Ambassador, Sista With Style Katrina entertained Be Uplifted Inc supporters at an inspirational fundraising event.
Katrina bravely shared her own personal breast cancer journey and got real about how the experience helped her become her best self.
As guests enjoyed delicious afternoon tea, Jacinta also opened up on her life with lymphoedema, a condition that about 20% of breast cancer patients are estimated to experience.
And it didn’t stop there!
Together they discussed how we can effectively use all areas of our brain and what mindfulness techniques can improve our personal wellbeing. But you would be mistaken to think this event was just a talk-feat!
As well as a gourmet spread of cheeses, fruit, chocolates (plus a fabulous cake!), the afternoon included laughter and a stylish fashion parade with clothes provided by popular local fashion label Adrift Clothing.
The event also included raffles with generous prizes, which meant smiles all round!
