Every Tuesday, Be Uplifted Inc opens it’s doors of its headquarters in Geebung*, Brisbane, for a craft day.
This very special time provides women and men currently in treatment for breast cancer, plus those who have survived breast cancer and their family members and friends, with a safe place to talk about their experiences or to share the company of those who understand their breast cancer journey.
It is a place to come and chat and know that while each person’s breast cancer journey may not be the same, you are surrounded by the loving arms of people who share similar experiences.
Local members of the community interested in craft activity and volunteering their time with a very special community non-profit organisation are also welcome to attend.
Morning tea and afternoon tea are provided, as well as a wealth of distraction from breast cancer treatment in the form of optional art and craft activities.
Led by Charyl, a long-time volunteer at Be Uplifted Inc, a friendly and welcoming environment is created.
Patients or survivors of breast cancer can come to the craft circle and know they will be listened to without judgement.
Whether you enjoy craft, or just would like to chat to others who have been through similar a life-changing experience, please come along to Be Uplifted Inc onTuesday from 10am for our Tuesday Craft Group.
