Be Uplifted Inc breast cancer charity provides external breast prostheses free of charge to breast cancer survivors.
These prostheses, lovingly called Crocheted Knockers, are made by our volunteers. They are knitted using a soft cotton and provide the look and shape of a breast, but are light and comfortable to wear.
They are also appropriate for women who have undergone mastectomy and who are waiting for a breast reconstruction, for women who have undergone lumpectomy surgery, or for those women who cannot afford costly permanent silicone prostheses.
We understand that most women have an uneven chest after breast cancer treatment, and that some may want a pair of our Crocheted Knockers to wear, and a pair to wash. We are happy to mail 2 sets (a total of 4 pieces) at one time free of charge.
If you would like to receive some of Be Uplifted Inc’s free crocheted breast prostheses, please complete our request form below. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
