Be Uplifted Inc Breast Cancer Charity is excited to announce a new “line up” management team for the north Brisbane charity.
Our charity is blessed with wonderful volunteers who have many years of amazing work and career experience, industry experience, skills, expertise, life experience to offer.
To keep Be Uplifted Inc moving forward, achieving new fundraising heights and reaching more local Brisbane breast cancer recipients, we need to have fresh faces, fresh ideas and fresh commitments to create that much needed practical and financial support for individuals.
L-R: Di Cutuli, Mary Boatfield, Lyn Jordan, Peggy Campbell (President), Annette Hoolihan (Treasurer).
Di Cutuli. “I started volunteering with Be Uplifted Inc in 2013 on my return from teaching english in China, and managed the charity’s shopping centre fundraising, raffles and community awareness displays. My background is nursing where I worked in operating theatres, pre and post operative nursing and ICU departments in Sydney. I am delighted to now be part of Be Uplifted Inc management team and very much look forward to continuing to make a difference in Brisbane north’s community for people enduring a breast cancer journey.”
Annette Hoolihan. “I have been around Be Uplifted since the beginning cheering Wendy on from the side lines. Several years ago I learnt how to make a quilt with Peggy and worked in the background helping make quilts Be uplifted Inc sell in the charity shop. I joined the Be uplifted Inc committee 2018. This year, 2019, I put my hand up to perform the Treasurer position. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful charity that is helping so many. I am also a nurse trained at Redcliffe, then transferred to Prince Charles as cardio thoracic intensive care nurse. During my career, I also trained to be a therapeutic masseuse which I have enjoyed for the past 14 years. I am also amongst the first members when Be Uplifted Inc launched the charity”.
Lyn Jordan. “I have been a long term volunteer with two Disability Support Associations over the years. I also volunteer at a local Brisbane church group visiting people unable to get out and about in community. I volunteer at a local Brisbane ‘Vinnies shop’ and at Be Uplifted Inc charity shop. I was recently seconded to serve on Be Uplifted Inc committee and officially joined as a 2019 Committee Member on the Be uplifted Inc Management Committee”.
Mary Boatfield. “I have a secretarial and administration career background, and now enjoy spending time with my family of x and my husband. During my spare time, you will find me sewing with a group of friends! I was approached by Be uplifted Inc to be the committee Secretary and am now part of a lovely group of people who wish to help breast cancer patients. I too am a breast cancer survivor, and am proud to be part of this amazing, charitable, organisation”.
“Peggy Campbell, President. “Peggy brings to Be Uplifted Inc Breast Cancer Charity, a wealth of volunteering, charitable, leadership and community service experience and expertise. Peggy has been honoured with a 40 year community service acknowledgement as a Leader for Chermside District Girl Guides. Peggy’s involvement with such a great movement, leading young Brisbane women through the Girl guide program, has allowed her to see many girls and young women grow in personality, confidence and leadership skills. Through her devotion and work years with Girl Guides, Peggy has been involved with policy development, operations, budgets, fundraising and committees. The perfect candidate to be President, Be Uplifted Inc Breast Cancer Charity!
