Charyl is a breast cancer survivor and Be Uplifted Inc’s volunteer Craft Coordinator.
Charyl excels at knitting and cross-stitching and is her hard work and passion make her an integral part of a Be Uplifted Inc volunteer community.
You may know Charyl from our Tuesday Craft Group, where she acts as the enthusiastic leader, organising new volunteers to help make a positive difference to the lives of breast cancer patients by ensuring arranging groups to knit, crochet, make cards and other gorgeous creations such as our drain bags that are delivered to breast cancer patients in hospitals around Brisbane.
One role that Charyl excels at is organisation of Be Uplifted Crocheted Knockers program.
Charyl herself adapted the pattern Be Uplifted uses to crochet comfortable, soft cotton breast prosthesis. She coordinates the provision this pattern to volunteers to either make our Knockers for themselves of bulk supplies for the many patient requests Be Uplifted Inc receives from breast cancer survivors.
